Schedule & Location:
Full-time,Monday-Friday, with flexibility and regular travel to clients inthe greater Lumberton, NC area.
Job Type:
This is a fully onsite rolethat requires regular travel to meet with clients in thecommunity.
Job Duties:
Direct Clinical Care:
Examines patients todetermine the presence of mental illness, completes patientinformation and records social and medical histories, diagnosesillness and prescribes the course of treatment. Orders and reviewslaboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide informationon general physical condition and mental disorder. Analyzes andevaluates patient data, tests, or examination findings to diagnosenature and extent of behavioral health issues. Prescribesmedications to correct chemical imbalances. Advises and informsguardians, relatives, and significant others of patients’conditions care, treatment, and prognosis with patient consent.
Utilization Review:
Assumes psychiatric leadership responsibilitiesto the treatment team, conducts case reviews about patient’sstrengths, goals, and interventions. Collaborates with otherprofessionals on treatment plans and progress. Ensures qualityassessment standards are met by following procedures identified byCoastal Southeastern United Care.
Integrated Care:
Ensures thecoordination between the MH/SA a services being delivered withprimary physical healthcare providers. Consults with primaryhealthcare providers on the clinical aspects of the consumer beingserved and the implication for those consumers physical healthcareneeds. Coordinates with medical staff of other providers (i.e.state and community inpatient facilities).
RequiredEducation/Experience:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner Certified inPsychiatric and Mental Health (PMHNP) Current/Active DEAlicense/certification Proven ability to communicate effectivelywith strong verbal skills Excellent interpersonal and customerservice skills Must have a valid drivers license and minimum staterequired liability auto insurance; Local travel is requiredProficiency with electronic records management
