This position is for a Registered Nurse in an emergency department setting, responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care. The role involves coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing patient needs and conditions to deliver appropriate nursing care within the assigned unit. Analyzing patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized nursing care plans. Preparing and administering nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments, to provide comprehensive and effective patient care. Reconciling medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Evaluating patient response to interventions and identifying any additional interventions needed to meet defined goals of care. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning. Performing other duties as assigned related to patient care and departmental operations.
Requirements:
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required. 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty, as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations, is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registry/Listing:
Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
