The selected candidate will be responsible for providingclinical support and nursing triage over the phone to patients ofall ages. Assessing patient needs, providing medical advise withinthe scope of nursing practice, coordinating and communication withcare providers and ensuring timely and appropriate patient accessto care. Med management, Epic Documentation, Prior Authorization,Ordering Test etc.
Schedule:
8-5 with Tuesdays off. $5,000 sign onbonus paid out on FIRST pay check for qualified hires!
Job Summary:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with establishedpolicies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESImplements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records andcommunicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primarycoordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses andcoordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of thehealthcare team. May round with physician in an inpatient setting.
Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientificknowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursingcare is delivered based on patient’s age-specific needs andclinical needs as described in the department’s Scope of Service.
As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professional nursingstandards defined in the professional practice model. Uses the ANACode of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the currentand evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and ourpatient populations. Works in a constant state of alertness andsafe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Graduateof accredited school of nursing or education equivalency forlicensing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant use of speech to share information through oralcommunication. Constant standing and walking. Frequentlifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry. Frequentuse of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches orless) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguishcolors. Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Frequentuse of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish bodysounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing25-50 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving of patients. Occasionalbending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping andrepetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional driving.
Rare crawling and running.
