Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies andguides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillarypersonnel.

Essential Functions:

Performs plan of care intervention,including medication administration, specimen collection, clinicaltreatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documentspatient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patientcondition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, andfamily. Assists patients with performing activities of dailyliving, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, andambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinatepatient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs ofpatient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing required Bachelor’sDegree in Nursing preferred Required Skills Requires criticalthinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressfulenvironment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

Basic LifeSupport (BLS) required ACLS within 3 months of hire PALS within 3months of hire

Licenses:

Current RN license to practice in NC (NClicensure or multi-state (compact) license).
