Job Description
A health system is seeking a hospitalist nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in eastern North Carolina. Coverage is needed for one provider from July 711 and July 1418, working 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. This opportunity is with an established hospitalist team at The Outer Banks Health Hospital, which includes 2 physicians and 4 APPs. The average inpatient census is 1721, with each APP managing 810 patients per shift and handling 46 admissions during the day. Locums will respond to codes but have no critical care duties and will not serve as ED backups, though they may consult on ED holds. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. The facility has a full range of medical specialties for support.
