Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU),
Anesthesia/Recovery Nurse Job Description:
As a Travel PACU RN,you’ll care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgicalprocedures. You’ll monitor vital signs, manage pain andcomplications, and ensure safe, smooth transitions from surgery todischarge or inpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor andassess post-anesthesia patients for pain, consciousness, andcomplications
- Administer medications, including pain relief andIV fluids
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, andrecovery staff
- Educate patients and families on post-opinstructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensureadherence to protocols
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compactlicense preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALSpreferred for pediatric PACU
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU,pre-op, or critical care experience
- Strong post-op assessment andemergency response skills
