Responsibilities:
The primary function of theNurse Educator is to orient and educate all nursing personnel inthe nursing center and to ensure safe effective nursing careaccording to the federal, state, and facility guidelines, policiesand procedures.
- Report to the Director of Nursing
- Developeducation programs in response to staff needs and teach staffcurrent accepted patient care and nursing center practices.
- Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout theirindividualized orientation period.
- Perform annual competencytesting and evaluation and clinically appraise nursing staffperformance to identify areas for education.
- Provide oversight toEmployee Health Program to include administering and tracking oftuberculosis and hepatitis vaccine and tracking of influenzaimmunizations for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Must be agraduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license
- Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experiencepreferred
- Two years of clinical experience in long-term carenursing with one year as an educator preferred
- Excellence inclinical nursing skills required
- Experience in Gerontologypreferred
- Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred

Posted Salary Range:
USD $85,000.00 – USD $95,000.00/Yr.
