Required Skills & Experience:

/n-A minimum of one (1) yearexperience as an RN, either in acute care hospital, oncology,long-term care, hospice or home health. School internships andclinical hours may be considered as experience in individualcases./n-Knowledge of terminally ill patients and their familiesalong with understanding of hospice; ability to apply knowledge ofthe special needs of hospice patient and families./n-Knowledge ofroles of all disciplines providing hospice services; excellentpatient assessment skills./n-Knowledge of community resources; goodoral and written communication skills; documentation and programmanagement./n-Knowledge of general nursing practice; thoroughknowledge of managed care principles, regulatory guidelines (i.e.,Medicare, Medicaid, ACHC, and human resource managementprinciples)./n-Must be able to effectively operate nursingassessment tools, computers, facsimile equipment, copier and cellphone/beeper.
