Works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Performs duties related to direct patient care as described for Staff Registered Nurse and at all levels of care within assigned departments (Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Intensive and Intermediate Care). Performs other duties of the department as required Graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaurea­te degree in Nursing; Current NC (or within 30 days of hire) or multistate RN licensure required. Minimum of five years of current, relevant clinical experience in Intensive Care Unit patient care; will consider other applicable clinical areas in lieu of Intensive Care Unit experience. Specialty certification, preferred. Demonstrated performance in position(s) requiring advanced clinical skills and educational expertise. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. BLS required; ACLS required, or obtained within 60 days of hire.
