Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join a dynamic team in a busy, 25-bed (+ hall spaces) Med Surg . This department serves patients of all ages and requires a high level of clinical skill and adaptability.

25 plus hall beds

EPIC Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:

1:4 to 1:5

Support Staff:

Charge Nurse (not assigned to travelers), Nurse Aides available

Common Cases:

All-age care, acute medical conditions, trauma, stroke, cardiac events, respiratory distress, etc.

Required Certifications:

ACLS

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support BLS

Basic Life Support Skills & Requirements:

Strong Telemetry skills Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips Experience with drips and ventilator management Familiarity working with hospitalists Must be comfortable working without an IV team Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 Pharmacy not available 24/7

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies, utilizing ventilators and telemetry systems. Collaborate with healthcare teams using EHR systems like Epic to document patient information accurately. Maintain certifications such as PALS and ACLS to ensure readiness for critical situations.
