Required Qualifications:

One year of recent experience as aRehab RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLSCertification NIHSS Certification Other certifications and licensesmay be required for this position

Summary:

The Rehabilitation Nurse(Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering frominjuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitativetreatment. This role involves providing comprehensive nursingassessments, implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress,and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patientsregain optimal physical, functional, and emotional well-being. TheRehab RN demonstrates advanced clinical skills, excellentcommunication, and a commitment to patient-centered care andsafety.

Essential Work Functions:

Completes nursing assessment ofpatients on the unit and documents appropriately into patientrecords Prepare patients for surgery, including educating themabout procedures and post-operative care Coordinates and providesholistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitationexercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuringadherence to individualized care plans Monitors and evaluatepatients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documentingprogress and communicating any deviations or concerns to theinterdisciplinary team Safely administers prescribed medicationsand treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance withsafety protocols Maintains a clean, organized environment andensures rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies andequipment to support rehabilitation care Assists with safe patienttransport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, orother care areas as needed Perform other duties as assigned withinthe scope of practice Adhere to hospital safety protocols,infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

RequiredEssential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel.
