Job:

Assesses, implements, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care in theInterventional Radiology Department. Coordinates all aspects ornursing care and provides technical/nursing expertise on Radiologyprocedures to the interdisciplinary team. Leads and collaborateswith colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

Assesses, implements, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care for anindividual patient or group of patients utilizing the nursingprocess. Assesses patients considering developmental, biophysical,psychosocial, environmental, cultural, self-care, educational anddischarge planning needs Mutually plans care with patient and family Implements evidence-based and culturally-appropriate interventionsand evaluate outcomes in collaboration with patient and family. Consistently re-evaluates nursing orders in the provision ofpatient care Consistently incorporates discharge patient education into thedocumented plan of care. Coordinates all aspects or nursing care and providestechnical/nursing expertise on interventional Radiology proceduresto interdisciplinary team. Utilizes evidence-based standards of practice and safety Monitors oximetry, performs hemodynamic monitoring, providesarrhythmia detection, performs computer visualization and keyboardprocessing Provides advance cardiac life support and administration of IVpharmacological therapies Starts IV’s, draws blood and verifies medication orders Communicates with patients and family in an open, positive, andtherapeutic manner Includes patient’s condition and response to care indocumentation Medical record entries are accurate and timely and meetrequirements Handoffs are safe and accurately reflect the patient’scondition Utilizes computer resources effectively Incorporates relationship-based care and comfort strategies intodaily practice Leads and collaborates with colleagues to achieve the bestoutcomes Responds effectively during an emergency or crisis Adheres to the ANA and other specialty nursing code of ethics asposted on each area Performs in the role of preceptor, if applicable Involved in process improvement and safety initiatives

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs all aspects of nursing care during Radiology exams andprocedures Communicates effectively with others within the department as wellas outside of the department Demonstrates proficiency with computer systems Respects confidential nature of patient information and abides byHIPAA laws and regulations Demonstrates compassion and patience in all customerinteractions Uses patient safety equipment effectively to move patients

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursingrequired Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Hampshirerequired. Two-to-four years of experience in ICU/CCU or Emergency Serviceshighly preferred
