Registered Nurse (RN) – ENDO An Endoscopy Registered Nurseprovides care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal proceduressuch as colonoscopies and endoscopies. This role involves patientpreparation, sedation administration, and close observation duringprocedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare endoscopy suite and ensure proper functioning ofequipment. Assist the physician during procedures, handling scopes andinstruments. Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels, intervening asneeded. Provide pre- and post-procedure education regarding recoveryand follow-up. Maintain sterile technique and strict infection controlprotocols.
Work Environment:
Primarily in endoscopy or GI labs within hospitals oroutpatient clinics. Often involves scheduled procedures but may include emergentcases. Focuses on patient comfort, safety, and education.
