Assures that all pre-admission documentation and testing results are present for review by surgical team as appropriate to the patient and the surgical procedure. Essential Function include but are not limited to: Assesses patients preoperatively utilizing the nursing process which is appropriate to the age of the patient population. Practices positive responses to job demands, changes, through organization and time management, utilizing resources effectively and efficiently to enhance positive outcomes in patient care, unit needs and the Centers mission. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for continuous improvement without outside intervention for self, the unit and Center with consideration of the age of the patient population. Participates in clinical pathway process by using the pathways in patient care, monitoring a clinical pathway to improve outcomes and other quality improvement. Enhances positive relations with all customers, including patients, families and Center staff in other departments. Enhances the practice of family centered care and provides individual customer focus and practices service recovery. As a representative of the Center, demonstrates responsibility and accountability for enhancing positive interactions and for diffusing negative interactions. Participates in and fosters an approach to continuously improving quality through Six Sigma methodology that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities. The successful candidate will have to pass competencies for this position. Identifies opportunities to improve performance within the unit and assists with the application of these opportunities (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, QAPI) As a professional, understands the concepts of customer service and acts accordingly and with grace under pressure. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited Nursing School Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse required BLS required, ACLS preferred 3 years of experience required
