Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience on cardiac floor required Travel experience required unless RN has more than 2 years of cardiac PCU experience Prior experience with Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS Must past EKG test prior to start Preferred Experience Arterial line management
Wound Care/Wound Vac Charge Experience Job Details Ratios:
1:4 for surgical step down, 1:5-6 for lower acuity 12-hour nights,
Float Requirement:
Will follow unit rotation – not first to float
Weekend Requirement:
4 per 4 weeks Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR 24-hour orientation Navy scrubs Patient Diagnoses Atrial Fibrillation CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis Endocarditis Cardiomyopathy PVD PAD Vasculitis Carotid stenosis Venous stasis Sheath management, sheath removal Unit Details/Special Procedures
CABG AVR MVR TAVR
Mitral Clip LAAO (Watchman procedure) VATS Carotid endarterectomy FEM-POP bypass Amputations Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures Pacemaker placements Special Equipment Arterial lines (not required), Doppler Bladder scanner EKG Femoral sheaths TR band Fem-stop Chest tubes Epicardial Pacing Wires
