POSITION SUMMARY

To fulfill the needs ofpatients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and thecommunity by performing specialized patient care tasks andfunctions in accordance with licensure, certification, training,and regulatory requirements. To respond effectively to new andchanging work environments. To bear the responsibility andaccountability for the specialty nursing care that the patientreceives while receiving services from Valley Home Care, Inc.

EDUCATION

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSNpreferred.

EXPERIENCE 2

years of RN experience required plus anadditional 2 years of experience in the specialty area. Computerand keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. SPECIAL SKILLSCurrent State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to workfrom the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Current and valid CPRcertification. Demonstrates effective interaction and communication(oral, writing, presenting) skills. Ability to work accurately andpay attention to details, often changing from one task to anotherwithout loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to functioncompetently in stressful situations and a changing work environmentrelated to changing customer needs. Ability to work cooperativelywithin the health-system; with patients and family members; andwith multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, Rehab,etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to setpriorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respondquickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinkingand clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve anddeliver care.

• current and valid driver`slicense, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level ofinsurance coverage required, to include collision.
