POSITION SUMMARY
To fulfill the needsof patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, andthe community by performing varied patient care tasks and functionsin accordance with licensure, certification, training, andregulatory requirements
EDUCATION
Associate`s degree in Nursingrequired. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legalpermission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
- Aminimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Current American HeartAssociation BLS for the healthcare provider certification isrequired upon entering the program and it must be valid for aminimum of 3 months post the start date of the program.
- You mustsuccessfully obtain a New Jersey Registered Nurse License (not justthe license number) by at least two weeks before the residencystart date to enter into the program. Please note that licensereciprocity from another state can take approximately 3 months toreceive; therefore, it is strongly recommended that you take theNCLEX in New Jersey if you plan on working in New Jersey.
- Relatedworking clinical experience is a plus.
- Current and valid driver`slicense, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level ofinsurance coverage required, to include collision.
EXPERIENCE
Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.

Employees must adhere toall procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstratingan acceptable driving record for the duration of their employmentas long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
Physical and cognitive requirements: Position’s physicalrequirements necessitate a full range of body motion including butnot limited to, physically assisting patients, requiringstretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping,standing, walking, pushing and pulling. Position is classifiedaccording to the USDOL as Very Heavy Work which is defined asexerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or inexcess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20pounds of force constantly to move objects. The National Instituteof Safety and Health (NIOSH0 guidelines, which recommends that theaverage worker not lift more than 51 pounds without assistance,will be followed. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eyecoordination are also required as is constant talking and listeningin English. Must demonstrate effective oral and writtencommunication skills, including speech clarity, understanding theinformation relayed, deductive and inductive reasoning skills (theability to apply general rules to specific problems to produceanswers that make sense and the ability to combine pieces ofinformation to/from general rules or conclusion respectively).Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and typing.
Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details,often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiencyor composure. Ability to function competently in stressfulsituations and changing work environment related to changing needsof patients with acute, chronic and complex and/or terminal diseaseprocesses. Ability to work cooperatively within health system,multidisciplinary team members (i.e. Rehab, etc).
