Facility in Rochelle Park, NJ Job Details Fusion Medical Staffingis seeking a ICU RN for a week travel assignment in Rochelle Park,NJ. Required Qualifications:

One year of recentexperience as an ICU RN Valid RN license in compliance with stateregulations Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)certification

TNCC, NIHSS

certification Other certifications orlicenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The ICURegistered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive,critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. This roleencompasses assessing and monitoring critically ill patients,operating life-support equipment, administering advancedtreatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcareteams. The position requires strong critical care skills, advancedclinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment tomaintaining the highest standards of patient safety andprofessional ethics in high-acuity settings.

Essential WorkFunctions:

Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizingand responding to subtle changes in patient condition Administercomplex medications and treatments in accordance with approvedcritical care nursing techniques Operate and manage advanced lifesupport equipment Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuityICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs Recordsignificant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying theappropriate provider of changes in patient status Perform andinterpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arteriallines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery cathetersAccurately document all assessments, interventions, and patientresponses in the medical record in a timely manner to ensurecontinuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards Provideeducation to patients and families regarding the ICU environment,treatments, and recovery expectations Communicate closely withinterdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient careMaintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologiesthrough ongoing education and training Adhere to strict infectioncontrol protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reducerisks Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICUpatient outcomes and operational efficiency Perform other duties asassigned within scope Adhere to hospital safety protocols,infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

RequiredEssential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

  • Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
  • To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
  • Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
