Required Qualifications:

• One year ofrecent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current Valid RN license incompliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification(AHA/ARC)

• Current ACLS Certification Preferred Qualifications:

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSScertification
• Other certifications and licenses may be requiredfor this position

Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse isresponsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a telemetryunit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment.

This role encompasses evaluating patient health, implementingspecialized care plans, administering treatments, and collaboratingwith healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered carefor individuals with cardiac conditions. The position requiresstrong clinical skills in telemetry nursing, critical thinkingabilities, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintainingthe highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.

Essential Work Functions:

• Monitors and interprets cardiacrhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detectabnormalities and respond appropriately
• Administers prescribedmedications and treatments in accordance with approved nursingtechniques, with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment andaids physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetrypatients
• Observes patient, records significant conditions andreactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’scardiac status and response to interventions
• Responds tolife-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies,procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assignedtelemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans according toindividualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, andlifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinaryteam to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and client
• Perform otherduties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere tohospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, andregulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:

• Criticalthinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communicationskills
• The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required
• Ability to read/comprehend writteninstructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PCskills

• Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
• Interpersonal Skills
• To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism

• Ability tograsp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move aboutwhen assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

• Must be able to cope with frequent contactwith the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines underpressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionallyas well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must beable to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally andcontinuous concentration to detail
