out of 5 stars 61 Main St, West Orange, NJ 07052 We are calling experienced OR nurses or Labor and Delivery Nurses to join our team in an ambulatory setting. In this role, you will provide essential support to the operating room surgeon, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise in the operating room and labor and delivery will be invaluable in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare for and assist in various procedures Educate patients and families about the surgical process, recovery, and post-operative care. Monitor patients’ conditions before procedure ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer medications and assist with IV placement as required. Support the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols. Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience. Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications:
Current RN license in NJ Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with OR experience preferred. Familiarity with surgical procedures and operating room protocols is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. BLS and ACLS certifications required
