Hours Unit Description:
We are seeking a skilledEmergency Department Nurse to join our 64-bed Emergency Department,which includes hallway utilization and 75 bays for holds andpediatrics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and proficientin caring for critically ill patients, behavioral health patients,and hold patients, with an average of 150-190 visits daily.
KeyResponsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments todetermine priority of care and provide immediate interventions. /t
- Analyze assessment data and formulate, implement, and evaluate aplan of care in collaboration with medical staff. /t
- Ensureadherence to the policies and procedures of client Health Network./t
- Provide care for patients in a fast-paced environment,including those requiring observation and acute inpatientadmissions. /t
- Maintain effective communication with patients,families, and the healthcare team.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)required. /t
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent EmergencyDepartment experience. /t
- Travel experience required (completionof at least one contract assignment).
Certification/Licensure:
/t
- Current licensure with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing. /t
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationrequired. /t
- American Heart Association Advanced CardiovascularLife Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire./t
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire. /t
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification./t
- Completion of a Critical Care Course within 1 year (or 2 yearsof critical care experience or current Certified Emergency Nurse(CEN) certification). /t
- Completion of the Trauma Nurse CoreCourse (TNCC) taught by the Emergency Nurses Association within 12months of initial assignment, followed by a minimum of 8 contacthours of education every two (2) years in trauma assessment,intervention, and stabilization. /t
- National certification inspecialty area preferred.

- Teams call starts around 8:30
- 9 am.
Invite/link sent via email. After the Teams meeting, continue theday with ‘at your pace’ modules sent by the facility. /t
- Badgeappointment is emailed by the facility to issue the badge andreview policy/procedures. The ID badge is very important to obtainprior to Orientation Shift. This is how you will clock in and out
- so you can be paid accurately. /t

- orientation classes are scheduled
ONSITE 1-4
hours long in earlyafternoon and details are sent after Monday meeting is completed.
These are MUST attend and cannot be rescheduled or missed
- you willtake the end of class assignment which is required to schedule theorientation shift. /t
- Orientation shift
- Fri/Sat/Sun shift whichwill be at the time of the shift hired for and schedule will bemade available after Tue/Wed/Thur orientation classes have beencompleted. /t
- The POCT class is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd weekof the assignment. Please share your POCT class date with us oncereceived and remember to attend. /t
- You must be available for thefull 7 days of the first week for Orientation.
No specialscheduling is permitted for orientation. If you cannot attend ormiss any part of the full orientation the offer will be rescinded.
