Required Qualifications:

One year of recentexperience as an Operating Room RN Valid RN license in compliancewith state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPCcertifications OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) Other certificationsand licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

TheOperating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient carethroughout the perioperative process, ensuring the safety andcomfort of patients during surgical procedures. This role involvespreparing the operating room, managing surgical equipment, andcollaborating with the surgical team to ensure high-quality,patient-centered care. The OR RN collaborates withmultidisciplinary teams and adheres to the highest standards ofpatient safety, infection control, and professional ethics in adynamic surgical environment.

Essential Work Functions:

Prepare theoperating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, andsterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgicalprocedure Assists in positioning and preparing patients forsurgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safetyaccording to procedural requirements Maintains a sterile fieldthroughout surgical procedures and adhering to infection controlprotocols and sterile technique Anticipates the needs of thesurgical team providing instruments, supplies, and support promptlyto maintain efficient workflow Monitors patient’s condition duringsurgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeonof any significant changes Handles surgical instruments andsupplies, ensuring their proper use, sterilization, and disposalaccording to facility protocols Manage specimen collection,labeling, and transport according to facility protocols, ensuringaccurate diagnostic results Documents all aspects of patient carein the perioperative setting accurately and thoroughly Participatein patient handoff communication during pre

• and post-operativephases ensuring continuity of care Assist in cleaning andrestocking the operating room between cases, adhering to infectioncontrol and turnover protocols Collaborate with the surgical teamto ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, andstandards Follow hospital safety rules and procedures, includingproper use of PPE and infection prevention measures Perform otherduties as assigned within the scope of practice

Required EssentialSkills:
