Days Job Summary:

Horizon BCBS is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager to provide telephonic case management for workers’ compensation cases involving lost time and extensive medical care. This hybrid position requires in-office presence only once per month and focuses on facilitating appropriate care coordination while liaising with claimants, providers, clients, and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct telephonic interviews and gather information from claimants, providers, and clients. Perform three-point contact and guide treatment into the appropriate medical network. Evaluate proposed treatment plans per HCS protocols and authorize care and diagnostics. Act as the client liaison to resolve treatment plan and claim processing issues. Coordinate treatment and follow up via phone and written communication. Identify complex cases and escalate them to Nurse Case Managers as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of business experience, preferably in a medical support or health insurance role. RN Lic for NJ required Must Have ( No Compact lic) BLS Covid card 2 Supervisor references Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with Lotus Notes. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Understanding of case management philosophy and practices preferred.
