JobDescription:
As an L&D RN, you’ll care for patients throughoutthe labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. You’llsupport families during life-changing moments while managinghigh-risk situations with skill and empathy. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs throughout labor anddelivery
- Assist physicians and midwives during childbirth
- Administer medications and IVs, including epidurals and Pitocin
- Educate and support patients and families on birth plans andnewborn care
- Manage emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage,or fetal distress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
- BLSand ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoringcertification preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent L&Dnursing experience
- Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols andfetal monitoring interpretation
