RN- Progressive Care/Telemetry 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Telemetry to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit, monitoring their vital signs and responding to any changes in their condition. As a vital member of our medical staff, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Duties Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient conditions and respond appropriately. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Perform IV insertions and catheter care as needed, maintaining a sterile environment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and post-discharge care. Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic. Participate in trauma medicine protocols when necessary, providing immediate care in critical situations. Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in telemetry nursing preferred; familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding is a plus. Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic is desirable. Strong clinical skills in catheter care, IV insertion, and trauma medicine are essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a teaching hospital setting. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in nursing practices.
