PM Description:

We need an RN that has at least 5 years’ experiencein acute/critical care/transplant unit and working in this field inthe past year. The RN should have at least 1 of the following workhistory in their background:

• ER/OR experience
• Organdonation/transplant experience
• Tissue/Blood banking
• Criticalcare skillset Understanding & Recognizing (but not limited) thefollowing:
• physical assessment findings
• history & physicalreports
• death summaries / autopsies
• diagnostic values inElectronic Medical Records (EMRs)
• progress notes
• flow sheets
• other EMRs
• IV fluids & medications
• abnormal vital signs

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining compliance with FDA,AATB, international and state regulations during the second levelquality review of all tissue donor files for tissue submitted toAllergan to ensure the safety of donated human tissue. Responsiblefor the triage and review of information received after initialdonor release to assess the potential impact on donor suitabilityand distributed products, triggering escalation procedures andevaluation for regulatory action.

Top skill requirements:

AcuteCritical Care Organ donation transplant unit experience. Review orcase management experience. The chart review is critical, and thecandidate must have knowledge of reviewing medical records fordisease process, hanging blood and IV lines as well as criticalcare.

Education and experience:

NJ RN license from an accreditedschool of nursing Associates degree required, BSN or BS in LifeScience preferred and five years of recent {within one year}experience as an RN on an acute/critical care unit, organdonation/transplant unit, in tissue/blood banking, utilizationreview and/or case management with critical care skillset knowledgepreferred CTBS Certified or willing to obtain within two years ofemployment
