Salary Range:
$68,640.00 -$70,699.20 The Clinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans,directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patientsthroughout the episode of care with a focus on progress towarddischarge, including during transitions within the acute care stay.
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordinationof patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures thatcompetent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided tocustomers including referring facilities, hospital staff andpatients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Hourly Range:
$33.00 – $33.99 Implements physician orders,administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments,procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required bycompany policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify andassess patients’ conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needsfor, and responses to, care rendered. Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions. Provides primary andemergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries andillnesses. Administers over-the-counter and prescriptionmedications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursing team tocreate a Plan of Care for all patients. Directs and guidesancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a professional academic nursing programin which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree isconferred Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license Obtainsand maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Minimum of 1-3 years ofprevious clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive CareExcellent communication, prioritization, organizational andtime-management skills Possesses knowledge of quality concepts,principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques anddemonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental andpatient care quality improvement.
