$36.73•$60.93 Medical Cardiology (D4N)The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans,directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patientsthroughout the episode of care with a focus on progress towarddischarge, including during transitions within the acute care stay.

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the deliveryand coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team.

S/he assures that competent, compassionate patient care isuniformly provided to customers including referring facilities,hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, andcommunity settings. The Medical Cardiology unit is a 29-bed unitconsisting of 1 private room, 13 semi-private rooms and one 4bedroom. Patients are received from the Emergency Department,Cardiac Catheterization Lab, CCU, MICU, physician offices, andother facilities when inpatient admission is necessary. The patientpopulation served includes male and female, acute and chronicallyill patients with a variety of cardiac and medical diagnoses. Mostpatients admitted to the unit require telemetry monitoring afterreceiving minimally-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures. Theage range is from young adult (18 years) to geriatric (100) years.
