AM Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery Unit for a 13-week night shift contract in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vital signs Administer medications, including those used for conscious sedation Assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and manage pre/post-procedure care Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and neonatal care providers Adhere to infection control standards and patient safety protocols Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent labor & delivery experience in an acute care setting Proficient in maternal-child nursing, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and sedation protocols Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and emotionally intense environments Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Required Credentials:
Active New York State RN License (verified) BLS (Basic Life Support)

- American Heart Association NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
