Full Job Description Position:

Labor & Delivery Location:

Bronx, NY Pay Rate:

$70/hr

Schedule:

7:00 PM-7:30 AM – Rotating weekends is a requirement and workers must report as scheduled including holidays.

Duties:

Performing thorough physical assessments of the mother (vital signs, pain level, hydration, uterine contractions, cervical dilation/effacement/station) and fetal assessment (fetal heart rate, presentation, movement). Evaluating patients presenting with labor symptoms Explaining the admission process, unit routines, and initial care plans to the patient and their support person(s). Continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) to assess fetal heart rate patterns, variability, accelerations, and decelerations. Interpreting these patterns to identify signs of fetal well-being or distress.

Requirements:

Two years of the following experience is required: Maternal and child experience IV Insertion and phlebotomy skill Conscious sedation New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification AHA BLS IV/Phlebotomy experience

AHA ACLS NRP

certified At least 2 years of experience in an Acute setting required
