Auburn Community Hospital – 3.0 Auburn, NY Job Details Full-time $130,000 a year 19 hours ago Qualifications RN License 3 years Supervising experience Cardiology Patient care Senior level Leadership Full Job Description This position will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, support and assistance to the Hospital’s Cardiology department operations. Under the direction of the CNO, the Director of Cardiology Services is accountable for the day-to-day nursing operations at the Hospital for the Cardiovascular Lab, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and collaboration with the Cardiology clinic, including nursing strategy, ensuring quality measures are maintained to improve patient care and patient experience at the Hospital. Develops and implements department-specific patient-focused management programs, nursing practice guidelines, nursing quality indicators, innovative financial plans and evidence-based practices. This position is responsible for the development of other department nursing leaders through coaching, mentoring and evaluation. The Director of Cardiology Services will drive programs and initiatives that improve nurse/staff retention. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the integration of the care delivery system at the site so that patient care needs are met within TJC, DOH and other regulatory and evidence-based guidelines.

Qualifications:

Must possess a current NY State RN License and 3 to 5 years of related cardiology and interventional/procedural experience. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Three (3) years of supervisory experience desirable.

Typical Working Conditions:

Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.

Typical Physical Demands:

Requires a full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries and pushes items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
