Shift 1 Job Description Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating educational activities for professionals and paraprofessionals in the direct patient care environment on various shifts as appropriate to meet the needs of the staff and organization. Participates in education related to system-wide activities and clinical programs at Brooks-TLC Hospital System. Supervises subordinate staff including, but not limited to hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation and discipline. Consults and makes recommendations related to educational needs, competencies, and activities to other departments.
Education And Credentials Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Health Related Field or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and five (5) years of Acute Care Nursing Experience in Critical Care and or Medical Surgical Nursing and enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in any of the above areas required. Master’s Degree in Nursing /Education or Health related field preferred. Current and unrestricted NYS license as a Professional Registered Nurse required. ANCC certification (RN-BC) in Nursing specialties such as Critical Care, ED, Med. Surg or education preferred. RN required. ANCC certification (RN-BC) in Nursing specialties such as Critical Care, ED, Med. Surg or education preferred.
Experience Three years of recent acute care nursing experience in Critical Care and or Medical Surgical Nursing required. Clinical education experience in the hospital or academic setting preferred.

Salary Range:
