$68,640.00 – $70,699.20 TheClinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implementsand manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episodeof care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including duringtransitions within the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse isresponsible for the delivery and coordination of patient careprovided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent,compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customersincluding referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in theinpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. On our VascularSurgery Units you will be caring for patients with multipleco-morbidities requiring knowledge of all body systems. Many ofthese patients are fresh amputations, vascular wounds, extensivevascular surgery to restore blood flow, etc. Required educationthat will be provided include, but not limited to: BLS, ACLS,Telemetry, wound care, Wound-Vacs and central lines. EssentialDuties & Responsibilities include but not limited to: Implementsphysician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performstreatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment asrequired by company policy and local/state/federal rules andregulations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests toidentify and assess patients’ conditions. Assesses and evaluatespatient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Applies soundnursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Providesprimary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupationalinjuries and illnesses. Administers over-the-counter andprescription medications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursingteam to create a Plan of Care for all patients. Directs and guidesancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a professional academic nursingprogram in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or BaccalaureateDegree is conferred. Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense. Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support(BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experienceas a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred. Ability to improvejob performance through continuing education. Possesses knowledgeof quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools andtechniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support ofdepartmental and patient care quality improvement.
