Salary Range:

$72,072.00 – $74,229.26 TheClinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implementsand manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episodeof care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including duringtransitions within the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse isresponsible for the delivery and coordination of patient careprovided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent,compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customersincluding referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in theinpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

Hourly Range:

$34.65- $35.69 On our Vascular Surgery Units you will be caring forpatients with multiple co-morbidities requiring knowledge of allbody systems. Many of these patients are fresh amputations,vascular wounds, extensive vascular surgery to restore blood flow,etc. Required education that will be provided include, but notlimited to: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, wound care, Wound-Vacs andcentral lines. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but notlimited to: Implements physician orders, administers medications,starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, anddocument treatment as required by company policy andlocal/state/federal rules and regulations. Orders, interprets, andevaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responsesto, care rendered. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient caremanagement decisions. Provides primary and emergency care foroccupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications asordered. Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan ofCare for all patients. Directs and guides ancillary personnel andmaintain standards of professional nursing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.

Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license. Obtains andmaintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and AdvancedCardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experience as a PCA or othernursing assistance preferred. Ability to improve job performancethrough continuing education. Possesses knowledge of qualityconcepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques anddemonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental andpatient care quality improvement.
