Salary Range:

$72,072.00 – $74,229.26 The Clinical Nurseassesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages theneeds of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with afocus on progress toward discharge, including during transitionswithin the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse is responsible forthe delivery and coordination of patient care provided by thecaregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patientcare is uniformly provided to customers including referringfacilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient,ambulatory, and community settings.

Hourly Range:

$34.65 – $35.69Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs,performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and documenttreatment as required by company policy and local/state/federalrules and regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluatesdiagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions.
  • Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, carerendered.
  • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient caremanagement decisions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care foroccupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications asordered.
  • Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan ofCare for all patients.
  • Directs and guides ancillary personnel andmaintain standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
  • Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Obtains andmaintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and AdvancedCardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Previous experience as a PCA orother nursing assistance preferred.
  • Ability to improve jobperformance through continuing education.
  • Possesses knowledge ofquality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools andtechniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support ofdepartmental and patient care quality improvement.
