$76,396.32 -$126,730.61 The Colorectal Surgery and Urology unit is a med-surgunit consisting of 22 beds. As a nurse on this unit, you will carefor a mix of surgical abdominal, surgical urologic and generalmedical/surgical patients. New graduates are welcome to apply. TheRegistered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans,directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patientsthroughout the episode of care with a focus on progress towarddischarge, including during transitions within the acute care stay.

The nurse assures that competent, compassionate patient care isuniformly provided to customers including referring facilities,hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, andcommunity settings. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include butnot limited to : Implements physician orders, administersmedications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures andspecial tests, and document treatment as required by company policyand local/state/federal rules and regulations. Orders, interprets,and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responsesto, care rendered. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient caremanagement decisions. Administers over-the-counter and prescriptionmedications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursing team tocreate a Plan of Care for all patients. Directs and guidesancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Minimum Qualifications :

Graduate of a professional academicnursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree orBaccalaureate Degree is conferred Must hold current NYS RegisteredNurse license Obtains and maintains certification in

BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC
