Home base is our corporate office in Buffalo, NY but this position does require travel to our 70+ locations within the area

What you will be doing:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide ongoing clinical education to clinical support staff and identify new opportunities for education. Develop and implement new training and competencies for clinical support staff using best practice methods, measurements, and tools, including vital signs, point-of-care testing, venipuncture, and other clinical initiatives. Develop, implement, and update clinical policies and procedures. Identify and implement competency training materials for employees within the RN scope of practice. Initiate new CLIA certificates and renew existing certificates for all locations performing CLIA-waived and moderately complex testing. Review monthly audits and provide support and resources for corrective action items. Initiate skills development programs within the parameters of established care models and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards. Educate technical and patient care staff on new equipment, supplies, and instruments, and coordinate in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff. Assess current and develop new comprehensive education programs to meet the ongoing competency needs of clinical staff. Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development, and mentorship opportunities. Deliver exemplary customer service to ensure a positive patient experience across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned by management. The Education and Experience you need: Education (Minimum Needed): NYS RN License required. Experience (Minimum Needed): Previous experience in clinical education or clinical training required.; 3 years of outpatient RN experience strongly preferred. Specialized Knowledge Needed for
Performance of Job:
Knowledge of scope of practice for MA, LPN, and RN positions, familiarity with NYS Nurse Practice Act, rules, regulations, and policies. Knowledge of CLIA.
Special Skills:
EMR experience required, strong computer skills preferred.
Other:
Excellent communication skills for educating and instructing clinical staff, ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff while demonstrating diplomacy. The pay range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of posting.
