About the Role We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at Strong Memorial Hospital, a prestigious Level 1 trauma center in Rochester, NY. This is a high-acuity environment involving advanced cardiac procedures. Scrub experience is required; the ability to circulate is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Provide intraoperative support during complex cardiac surgeries, including: CABG, TAVR, VADs (HeartMate 2 and 3), ECMO, artificial heart procedures, and heart transplants. Assist with minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital surgical protocols.

Workweek:
36 hours/week guaranteed Requirements Active New York State RN License (required) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience Must be confident scrubbing for cardiac cases Circulating experience preferred Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures and VADs (HeartMate 2 or 3) required Cardiac transplant and Level 1 trauma center experience preferred Certifications BLS•Basic Life Support (American Heart Association only) ACLS•Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association only)
Compensation and Benefits Weekly Gross Pay:
$2,700 Based on $75/hr for 36 hours/week
