The ideal candidate will have strong surgical first assist capabilities in robotic-assisted procedures and the flexibility to adapt to a new clinical setting quickly. This is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting complex surgical cases and delivering exceptional patient care alongside a collaborative perioperative team.

Key Responsibilities:

First assist with robotic and non-robotic surgical procedures using the Da Vinci Surgical System . Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot robotic surgical equipment. Maintain sterile technique and support surgical team in intraoperative tasks. Anticipate surgeon needs and provide direct assistance throughout procedures. Collaborate with the OR team to ensure efficient room turnover and case flow. Follow hospital protocols and chart all relevant intraoperative documentation accurately. Ensure the Da Vinci system is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored after use. Adapt quickly to client hospital workflows, policies, and EMR systems.

Requirements:

Active RN license in NY

• compact license accepted if applicable.

Certified First Assist (RNFA, CFA, or equivalent) required. Minimum 1 year of Da Vinci robotic surgery experience (Xi and/or X platforms preferred). At least 2 years of recent operating room experience . BLS and ACLS certifications Strong familiarity with robotic procedures such as urology, gynecology, and general surgery. Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and integrate into new OR teams.

Preferred Skills:

CNOR certification. Experience with multiple specialties using Da Vinci. Prior agency, travel, or contract experience preferred.
