In this role, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans on patients to assist in diagnostic evaluations. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety in a Level I Trauma Center environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with experience in diagnostic radiology techniques. Responsibilities Perform CT scans on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Collaborate with medical staff to discuss scan results and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning of CT machines. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling radioactive materials in nuclear medicine applications. Provide patient education regarding procedures, addressing any concerns or questions. Document all procedures accurately in patient records. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques, including mammography and sonography. Experience Proven experience as a CT Technologist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology knowledge related to diagnostic imaging. Familiarity with various imaging modalities, including nuclear medicine, mammography, and sonography is preferred. Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff.
