$72,072.00 -$74,229.26 The Colorectal Surgery and Urology Unit consists of 22semi-private rooms. This Post-Surgical setting cares for patientsthat have undergone colorectal and urologic surgery. On this unit,the Registered Professional Nurse will assist with chest tubeinsertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, Cortrak, catheter,indwelling catheters. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses,coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs ofassigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus onprogress toward discharge, including during transitions within theacute care stay. The nurse assures that competent, compassionatepatient care is uniformly provided to customers including referringfacilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient,ambulatory, and community settings. Essential Duties andResponsibilities including but not limited to: Implements physicianorders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments,procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required bycompany policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify andassess patients’ conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needsfor, and responses to, care rendered. Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions. Administersover-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.

Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for allpatients. Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintainstandards of professional nursing.

Minimum Qualifications :

Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred Musthold current NYS Registered Nurse license Obtains and maintainscertification in

BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC
