Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operativesetting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasiveprocedures. Perform scrub functions including the selection andhandling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Performcirculating functions including monitoring, recording andcommunicating patient condition and managing overall nursing careof patient before, during and after procedure. Directly assistoperating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis,suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepareoperating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Requirements Licensure / Certification /

Registration:

AdvancedLife Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date orjob transfer date required. American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days)of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of thefollowing required: Registered Nurse credentialed from theMinnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure fromthe Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license ifconsidered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent onstate associate works in.

Education:

Diploma from an accreditedschool/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure attime of hire required.
