Salary Range:

$133,000 – $175,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Nursing/Advanced Practice Director, and in conjunction with the respective attending physicians, the NP will be responsible for assessment and management of patients with solid tumor cancers (i.e. breast cancer, GU cancer, GI cancer, thoracic cancer).

9/2025 Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient history and physical examinations Review laboratory results and imaging studies Order diagnostic tests and medications as clinically appropriate Provide patient education and counseling Develop and implement individualized care plans Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Obtain informed consent for procedures Assist with bone marrow biopsies and other procedures Coordinate referrals and consults with other healthcare providers Document patient encounters in the electronic health record Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care Assist with clinical research activities Participate in quality improvement initiatives Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations Master’s degree in nursing National Nurse Practitioner Certification Prescriptive authority in New York State Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in electronic health record systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in hematology/oncology strongly preferred Experience with

NYP/CUIMC
