Pay:

$175.00 per visit Visits per day: On average the NPs do a minimum of 4 visits a day. Avg.

Time Per Visit:

Depending on the acuity of the patient, which may vary, but the NPs typically spend 1.5 hrs. per visit.

Qualifications:

Valid NYS NP License Medicare License (required) Performing Annual Examinations (required) PECOS Experience (preferred) Home Healthcare Experience (preferred) EMR Experience, VNSNY used E-Clinical Works (ECW) – (preferred) Nurse Practitioner Duties and Responsibilities A Nurse Practitioner’s duties and responsibilities vary depending on their specialization.

For example:

A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has training in behavioral health and case management & an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will focus on short-term treatment. Regardless of the specialization, Nurse Practitioners have a few general responsibilities, including: Providing primary care to patients Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations Setting up and monitoring medical equipment Ordering and administering diagnostic tests Communicating test results to patients and their families Recording patient medical histories Operating and maintaining medical equipment
