Night Shift Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized experience in Pediatric Intensive Care to join a top-tier academic hospital in Syracuse, NY . This 13-week contract is ideal for nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and are committed to delivering exceptional care to critically ill pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition Perform thorough and accurate assessments, developing and executing individualized care plans Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams to support optimal outcomes Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage life-support and monitoring equipment Document all care accurately using Epic EMR Support and educate families in high-stress situations with empathy and professionalism
Qualifications:
Active New York State RN License
- required BLS Certification
- required (must be current or obtained before start date) Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience in an acute care setting
- required Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers
- strongly preferred Epic EMR experience

Preferred Skills:
PALS Certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Experience managing ventilated pediatric patients Familiarity with national PICU protocols and standards of care
