Hours/Week Compensation:
Local Rate:
$57/hr | Approx. $2,140/week
Travel Rate:
$66/hr | Approx. $2,475/week
Position Summary:
We are actively seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join the Emergency Department (ED) team in Syracuse, NY for night shift coverage. This role involves caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The nurse may also float to the Pediatric ED and other Cross Campus Adult ED units based on staffing needs. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs with trauma experience who thrive under pressure and are committed to delivering top-tier patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and pediatric patients in an acute care emergency setting Conduct nursing assessments, implement treatment plans, and monitor patient conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for timely and effective treatment Float between Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and Cross Campus ED units as needed Accurately document care activities in the EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
Qualifications:
Active RN license in New York State (unencumbered) Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum 1.5 years of recent ED experience in an acute care facility (within the last 2 years) Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience highly preferred Prior experience using
EPIC EMR
preferred
