Job Description Description A Brief Overview Provides safeefficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using thenursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain,regain, and sustain optimal health status. What You Will Do

  • Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationshipbased nursing care.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in caredelivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration tooptimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develops self andcontributes to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Displaysleadership that influences optimal clinical and operationaloutcomes. Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties asassigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Forspecific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentationprovided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by allrequirements to safely and securely maintain Protected HealthInformation (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code ofConduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to addressappropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications Education/n /n
  • Other Accredited Program:

    Diploma in Nursing or /n

  • (ADN)Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required) /n
  • (BSN) Bachelor’sDegree in Nursing (Preferred) /n /n Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/n /n
  • Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Requiredproficiency) /n
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment tomeet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie.stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronicmonitoring devices. (Required proficiency) /n
  • Emergency Servicesexperience strongly preferred. This is a PRN
  • night shiftposition. /n /n Licenses and Certifications /n /n
  • RegisteredNurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required UponHire) and /n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) or innursing orientation /n
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Maybe required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
