Job Description
•Description• Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
Education:
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or equivalent preparation desirable
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in New York State. ACLS upon hire or before completion of orientation.
Work Experience:
Demonstrates competence as a registered professional nurse. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Previous experience in Unit Management and/or House Supervision is desirable. Minimum of five years progressive nursing experience
Physical and Other Factors:
May work off shift evenings or nights. On feet most of the shift. Occasional lifting, stretching and other physical exertion during positioning of patients and moving of equipment.
