Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA and GeisingerWyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA Shift:

Training may take place in a facility or atraining facility other than your assigned home facility Potentialto float to various facilities during and after your training Youmust have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings,evenings, weekends, and holiday What you can expect: Be a part of ateam that supports and relies on each other in a positiveenvironment. Staff RNs are a central part of a smallinterdisciplinary team of clinicians. Deliver care to patients whoare often dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require uniquetreatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range ofnursing skills and knowledge. Oversee a group of patients with thesupport of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measuring statsand machine set up. You will work with your head, heart and handseach day in a fast paced environment. Specialty in multiple renaltherapies. Acute (inpatient) RNs may deliver nephrology carethrough Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous RenalReplacement Therapy (CRRT) and Apheresis. Work daily in a hospitalsetting. Deliver dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcaresystem, and become an integral part of both the hospital and DaVitateam. Dynamic environment. As an Acute (Inpatient) Dialysis Nurseyou’ll provide specialty nephrology care within a variety ofsettings (ICU, CCU, ED and more).
Schedule:
Provide lifesaving careduring regularly scheduled and on-call shifts. Schedules vary byhospital system. For this role expect to know your weekly schedulein advance, but your daily schedule may change depending on patientneeds. Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofpractice; Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accreditedschool of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N);three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may besubstituted for nursing degree You might also have experience inthe following that can be helpful but not required Intensive CareUnit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), orMedical Surgical (Med Surg) experience Certified Nephrology Nurse(CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) This position also requiressuccessful completion of the pre-employment color blind test,accommodation may be provided DaVita is a clinical leader!
