Nursing Full Job Description Position:
RN Admissions Nurse Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing is looking for a Per Diem Admissions Nurse (noon-8pm, can be flexible with afternoon/evening start time) whose primary duties are to meet, assess all new admissions to our 41 bed short term rehabilitation unit. The RN Admissions Nurse plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained. Specifically through thorough and complete assessments 2. Ensures that a safe and effective resident care environment is maintained at all times. 3. Assist in ensuring that facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. 6. Assists in ensuring necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are available for the delivery of the prescribed resident/patient care. 4. Completes rounds of their unit to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. 5. Receives and handles family and resident complaints. 6. Assists in ensuring customer service standards for the nursing department. 7. Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and dignity.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care setting. Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse • Compassion and desire to work with geriatric population.
